Cinderella...
Honestly, I can not even say how much I appreciate all of the kind words you all sad about my nephew. I even got tears in my eyes with some of the comments. Then my sister wrote on her facebook page how she got to feed him and then he just laid on her for 30 minutes looking at her. It was just such a hard pregnancy for her that ended too soon, so having something so amazing in the end of a horrible experience just makes it all more worth it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support and kindness.

Now, today, I felt like Cinderella...and not in the glass slipper kind of way (even though my prince was upstairs working his butt off). You have to understand that the illustrator and I are in this house 24/7 so we tend to get on these kicks where things need to be super cleaned. Well, since he is really busy (again), I am the cleaner...hopefully soon to be painter of all walls (I hate flat paint)! I started with the kitchen because well, it really needed it. The weather was beautiful this morning when we walked (in the 60s...chilly) so when I got home...it was fall cleaning time! We opened up the windows and I started scrubbing. Here it is 7:30pm and I need a shower! I didn't even finish everything I wanted to do...the freezer is a mess and the pantry needs to be organized...it will have to wait until tomorrow...I stink!

You all know me, I wasn't going to be in the kitchen all day and not bake!

Heather has been talking about cornbread like crazy and since we devoured the cornbread muffins from the other day and it felt like fall...I wanted cornbread dressing! It took everything I had not to eat this pan of cornbread all day. I hate the smell of cleaners, so with the windows open, cornbread baking and some hot soapy water...I was actually in heaven cleaning!

When these started baking, I was so excited...like a kid in a candy shop!

My reward was all my favorites from Thanksgiving! Cornbread dressing, oven roasted pumpkin with cinnamon and roasted brussles sprouts with hemp seeds (that part is an update on Thanksgiving)!

What is your favorite fall food?

Those cleaning kicks don't last very long for me, but when they do- watch out! lol

Cornbread is fantastic- which goes well with all the soups/stews/chili- something I'm very excited for this fall! :)

I hope you at least get to kick back and enjoy the rest of the night!

I get on cleaning kicks, too. Everything needs to be immaculate...for a couple of hours, at least :P Then the idea just goes out the window and I'm sorry I ever started! haha.
The cornbread looks great - I agree, it definitely looks like Thanksgiving over there :P
As for fall flavors...I can't get enough squash lately! haha.

I am such a clean freak... I'm always on a cleaning kick! I just LOVE the way it feels to have things cleaned up and organized!! Cornbread dressing sounds so wonderful!! Andrew is going to make some GF cornbread (Bob's Red Mill mix) sometime this week to go along with the awesome brunswick stew he made. I'm soooo excited about it!! :)

Favorite fall food? Oh my goodness, so many to choose from. Right now I'm loving on pumpkin bread!!

You go girl on the super clean streak. I seriously need to get my rear into gear. While I hate to paint, it makes such an incredible difference doesn't it. And the pumpkin with brussels sprouts - yummy. I never remember to buy brussels sprouts.

With my husband and I both being Type A, its so imperative that our house be clean... especially with me being at home full-time :)

I've never had a cleaning kick. My boyfriend gets them though. I'm more of a spectator.

My fave fall food is acorn squash!
