Who forgot the lettuce?
Too tired to function...
This is the table outside my back door.  Everything is green, but completely soaked!

I blame the weather.  I blame the activities that have been going on all week for the end of the school year festivities.  Let's just say I am ready for some good sunshine and maybe sleeping in tomorrow morning!  On top of the weather funk...there was no lettuce in my house today...of any kind!  Seriously, whose house is this?  Oh and no apples.  If you take my oatmeal away, I would think it was the end of the world.
After eating random leftover stuff from the fridge for lunch, we are heading to the grocery store!  Not that this was bad...cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower, black beans and hot sauce...
The illustrator knew exactly what he was having... Nature's Own Gluten Free Bread, leftover roasted pulled pork and mashed potatoes.  We are definitely the polar opposite of Jack Sprat and his wife!
Ok...back from the store!  I am about to slash into all of this and things are going to be so much better in the world!
We are headed for a (hopefully sunny) full day at the park tomorrow.  Jay is doing a side walk chalk competition and then we are having dinner with the illustrator's cousin and his wife!  We are cooking up a feast together and chatting about food.  So, sunshine, food, family...I am totally looking forward to tomorrow!

Anybody have any fun plans this weekend?

The pulled pork sandwiches looks great! I am going to visit a friend for the weekend so I'm excited. Hope you get nice weather for the park!

the sidewalk chalk competition sounds awesome - i can't wait to see pictutres from that!! i love going to those and seeing all the masterpieces :) it's amazing what some people can create with some chalk and some pavement.
i totally thought the photo after mentioning oatmeal was a shot of your breakfast...and was quite concerned since all I could make out were the beans. then i kept realizing that it was, in fact, your lunch. phew! haha. isn't it fun in a weird way to have to work with whatever's left rather than having a bunch of things to chose from, though? maybe...? ;)
and p.s. re: making nut butter. do you have a really good blender for that? i'd looove to experiment with making my own, too - but am afraid my blender isn't up to par. any tips and tricks for a newb such as myself?!

Oh I have had melt downs when we've been out of spinach or lettuce. I feel your pain! Hope you get some sunshine soon.

I just plan on having a relaxing weekend. Yesterday we went to the boardwalk to go for a run and it was nice. The day wasn't too sunny but it was still great to get outside. Have a good one!
