Fruits, Review and Gifts...Oh My!
(Check out the awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles container!)

Yesterday was about my veggies, so today is about my fruits! I don't know which I love more, but I would have to say that these two food groups are pretty tied in my book! I will start off with the bouquet of fruit our family received just yesterday! First, a huge thank you to individual for taking the time to consider a gift that would be appreciated by this whole clan! Second, seriously, this girl is all about this kind of bouquet. I have never been a flowers girl (I am way too cheap for that - they die), so this one was right up my alley. In fact, Max (my 8 year old) looked at me yesterday when he saw this and said...we were just talking about how we wanted one of these! Max and I share an extreme love of fruit! It was so much fun picking off what we all wanted from this. I will admit to eating all but two pieces of cantaloupe (don't judge me - I shared that part with Max), but who could resist all of that fruit, already cut up, waiting to be plucked and eatin'? Everybody picked off the skewers and ate until they could eat no more!
Now, on to my next fruit indulgence...Nasoya Strawberry Silken Creations. I am a huge fan of all three flavors. I will tell you that this was all that was left of my container. One night the illustrator and I made a blackberry cobbler. I did not have any dairy free ice cream to have on it, so when I saw the Strawberry Silken Creation in the fridge, I figured it would do the trick as a creamy addition to my berry cobbler. It absolutely did! I took the last bit and froze it to see how it would work for later. It worked like a charm! After freezing it in a plastic container, I pulled it out at room temperature for a little bit and it scooped right out! I love how versatile the Nasoya Silken Creations are! This product is so rich and creamy while still being low in fat and calories. Finally, a dairy free product that you can feel like you are splurging on, but it is really good for you! I like that you can use it in so many ways too!

I have now made cake with it...

(Chocolate Silken Creation)

baked shortcakes with it...
(Vanilla Silken Creation)

made pancakes with it...
(Chocolate Silken Creations)

and eaten in plain!
I haven't even scratched the surface of ways to use this...I guess it is time to get some more!
